Suitable for both horizontal and vertical capacitor block bank configurations, this bus-mounted expulsion-type fuse ensures the safety and longevity of your power systems.

Capacitor Expulsion Fuse Unit

Application
#

The expulsion fuse is designed to rapidly disconnect faulted capacitors from the circuit. When paired with the appropriate fuse link, it significantly reduces or virtually eliminates the risk of tank rupture, enhancing operational safety.

Design Features
#

  • Constructed with a durable fiberglass body for enhanced reliability.
  • Upper contact made from either aluminum or copper, ensuring robust electrical connectivity.
  • Compatible with ANSI standard buttonhead fuse links for ease of replacement.
  • Equipped with a non-current-carrying, stainless steel ejector spring assembly that ensures the leader is ejected from the fuse tube when the fusible element melts during low-current faults.
  • Designed to prevent tracking and flashover, even after prolonged exposure to weather and contaminants.
  • The spring-ejected leader provides a clear, visible indication of a blown fuse, which can be detected from a distance.

Electrical Ratings
